The Involvement Dream with female surfer, Belinda Baggs

The Byron Bay Surf Festival is back on this year hombres so if you are in the area, you might wanna head along and check out all the super rad cultural surf happenings going on…like this premiere of Nathan Oldfield`s short film:

The Involvement Dream.

The film documents Belinda`s experience surfing a Wayne Lynch-shaped 1960`s single fin (above).

Belinda is renowned for her grace and style in the longboarding world and has a lot to say about the use of weight and line in logger surfing. Belinda will host a photographic journey diving deep into the feminine influence of style, and dexterity involved in sliding the face of a wave on a heavy single fin.

Words by Taylor Miller

Following the film`s premiere, featured surfer, Belinda Baggs, will be sharing a panel discussion with the likes of Lauren Hill (Seakin Creator), Taylor Miller (Byron local and Patagonia Team Rider), Sasha Leitmanis (Patagonia Ambassador and sister of our mate and legend, Jess Leitmanis) and Nathan Oldfield himself.

Saturday 26th October

5-6pm // $10 // Byron Bay Community Centre

And while you`re there team….head along to the Surf Art Market at Apex Park (Main Beach), find yourself the Rue Stiic tipi, head on in and check out our collab surf leggings and surf shorts woopwoop!
