Calavera Partners with Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation Keep A Breast
– To Empower and Engage Women –
Los Angeles, California, September 12, 2013 — Surf-inspired women’s swimwear brand Calavera has announced a partnership with breast cancer foundation Keep A Breast for breast cancer awareness month in October. OnWednesday, September 18 from 5pm at Santa Monica Beach Calavera will launch their support of the not-for-profit organization by hosting an evening of surfing lessons and beach yoga to actively engage local, young breast cancer survivors.
The Kick Off Event: On Wednesday September 18 at 5pm on Santa Monica Beach (2030 Ocean Ave Santa Monica near Hotel Casa del Mar) local breast cancer survivors will be paired up with a dedicated GO Surf LA instructor for introductory surf lessons, alternating their time in the water with yoga on the beach featuring restorative poses and relaxing breathing exercises. Complimentary snacks will be provided by VitaCoco and KIND.

The Awareness Program: Thereafter, throughout the month of October the team at Calavera will share information from Keep A Breast Foundation with their customers and online social media following to foster awareness and prevention. All online orders of Calavera swimwear will be delivered with information packets provided by KAB; including “how-to” self-check, as well as environmental measures than can be taken to prevent the breast cancer – such as avoiding the many toxic chemicals found in the household products will communicate these messages via their social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), sharing knowledge with the brand’s followers.
